Profile
Neverland (Aran) was born in Katsuragawa, Fukuoka prefecture in 1996. He is an artist, illustrator, and designer. Graduated from the fine arts department of Kyushu Sangyo University, and moved to Tokyo to further pursue his career.
Works under a popular modern artist to learn about concepts and technique.
While in university, he studied Western art to learn about technique, history, theory, and modern art.
Currently his work consists of graphic images and oil paintings. His works are colorful and filled with creativity.
He has always loved drawing ever since he was a child.
Aran believes that every child has a feeling of a beautiful soul, but as we age, we lose this feeling. Some do not even notice this feeling.
He remembers this feeling while creating his pieces.
“I am not a genius, I am just an average person. But I look up to geniuses. When I do oil paintings, I draw people I consider to be geniuses.
Geniuses cannot draw themselves, they can be drawn as such by average people like me, who look up to respect them.
I grew up with no huge conflicts, in a normally happy life. Drawing, I had mixed feelings about my normal life. But normal is good. I’m happy to be me. I only have gratitude towards my family and everyone I met along the way.
Through my art, it’s ok if someone doesn’t like it, or likes it. I don’t want to match everyone else, I want to utilize and show my feelings and creativity.”
