Margaret Burneske is a photographer and world traveler. She has been based in Tokyo, Japan for the past three years, although her photography represents her frequent travels and international perspective. Her published works include collections in DODHO Magazine, as well as Vogue’s online photography publication, Vogue Italia.
Her works are notable for their strong clarity and dream-like qualities. From tight and sharp, singular perspectives all the way to wide, detail soaked photos that gently envelop you; each image firmly seats you in an idiosyncratic point of view. This collection is a combination of images taken across several countries and continents. The interplay of light and shadow, absence versus density, and soft transitory colors are themes throughout this collection.
Margaret’s works have been described as dreamy and singular, offering something that is atmospheric and nostalgic for a place that may not have ever been.
When she is not working, Margaret can typically be found spending time with her three cats and crafting next summer’s drink of choice.
